Job summary

A leading consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Security Architect to develop and lead security architecture standards. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience in security architecture for IT systems, familiar with cloud technologies and agile frameworks. This role offers competitive remuneration and requires CAT2a Clearance, emphasizing the importance of compliance and security in technology implementation.

Job description

Location: Ang Mo Kio | Remuneration: Base up to 10K + Performance Bonus
Working Arrangement: Direct Perm with Client


Key Responsibilities:

1) Define Standards and Practices
  • Lead and develop Security Architecture blueprints, standards and practices.
  • Lead and develop Security Engineering standards and practices, incorporating them into DevOps and other workflows to ensure compliance to preferred standards.
  • Leads and define preferences for Security technologies and engineering tools.

2) Engineering and Delivery
  • Lead the design the security architecture and solution in product delivery projects during pre-sales and implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance (e.g. guide the threat analysis, review security risk, advise and troubleshoot on security design solution and implementation, etc) to product delivery team leads to ensure delivery timelines are achieved.
  • Continuously keep up to date with new technologies to ensure that the security solutions incorporate modern security tools and practices.

3) Infrastructure and IT Operations
  • Support CTO in the management of IT Infrastructure to ensure that it is secure.

4) Innovation and R&D
  • Work with CTO to identify R&D initiatives to explore and implement cutting-edge security technologies.
  • Experiment and evaluate new security ideas/tools/partners.

5) Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with other TO Architects and Leads
  • Collaborate with the customer leads to align security standards, technologies and practices with customer needs.
  • Engage with users, partners, and other stakeholders.

6) Risk Management and Security
  • Work with CTO to identify security standards and regulatory requirements to be complied with.
  • Work with product delivery teams to ensure that the product developed address security adequately including identification of security risks and implementation of controls.

7) Competency Development
  • Work with CTO to Define and Manage technical competency roadmap/plan for the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 up to 5 years of relevant experience in development of security solution architectures for secure mission critical IT systems required.
  • Experience in cloud-based (public or private) security architectures, technologies and services.
  • Experience in application of modern engineering security processes and practices (Agile, DevOps)
  • Understanding of emerging technologies related to security solutions and engineering (AI, cloud services, DevOps tools).
  • Familiar with customer/GOV standards and preferences
  • Experience with multiple aspects of the overall solution including performance, security, latency and other relevant aspects for a solution
  • Familiar with identification, determination and implementation of required level of security controls
  • Familiar with planning, implementation, tools and techniques of system and software security test, security assessment and audit of implemented controls.
  • Able to think strategically, communicate effectively to convey technical concepts.
  • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills.


This role is open to Singaporeans only as CAT2a Clearance will be required.
