Job description

We are representing our client in the global technology and engineering sector to look for an experienced System Security Architect. This role is responsible for initiatives related to company-level definition and standardization of Security Architecture standards, technologies and practices as well as related Engineering standards and practices.The System Security Architect works with the CTO, TO Architects/ Leads and project development teams to drive standardization and efficiency of technology and practices.Responsibilities

  • Work with Principal Solution Architect and other TO Architects to develop Security Architecture standards and practices, Security Engineering standards and practices and define/incorporate Security practices into DevOps or other workflows to assure compliance to preferred standards.
  • Engineering and Delivery. Provide direct contribution to development projects in relation to Security Architecture and/ or Practices.
  • Provide direct contribution to pre-sales activities in relation to preparation of system and software solutions.
  • Innovation and R&D. Work with PSA and other TO Architects to define and implement R&D projects, experiment and evaluate new ideas/tools/partners.
  • Technical Team Leadership. Guide project teams in application of Security Architecture and practices.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement. Engage with users, partners, and other stakeholders. Help R&D and development projects with problem solving.
  • Risk Management and Security. Work with CTO to identify standards and regulatory requirements to be complied with.
  • Incorporate security considerations into architecture and practices.
  • Work with Principal Solution Architect to develop Architecture and Engineering Practices addressing known risk areas, ensure that the defined reference architecture is addressing security adequately, ensure that the defined engineering practices is addressing security adequately.
  • Work with Principal Solution Architect to ensure that the defined DevOps Environment is addressing security adequately, and develop projects to ensure that the project solution addresses security adequately. (Include identification of security threats and implementation of controls)
  • Competency. Monitor and track own competency status related to Security technology and practices.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in development of Security solution architectures for secure mission critical IT systems.
  • Strong experience in (public or private) Security solution development.
  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies for cloud-based Security solution development.
  • Familiar with customer/government standards and preferences and related security solutions
  • Familiar with common and emerging Security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Familiar with Best Practices, key Principals and common/key Components of security system blueprint
  • Familiar with identification and implementation of security controls
  • Familiar with criteria for determining required level of security controls
  • Familiar with planning, implementation, tools and techniques of system and software security test
  • Familiar with (continuous) security assessment & audit of implemented controls
  • Strategic mindset
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts.
  • Strong in problem solving.
