Job summary

China Construction Bank Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage data center facilities, coordinate with vendors, maintain servers, and ensure service stability across production and DR environments.

The role requires expert Windows/Linux administration, database awareness (MySQL/MS SQL), Exchange maintenance, disaster recovery testing, security, patching, and budget ownership, with strong Chinese communications to liaise with Head Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 8+ years as System Administrator.
• Maintenance experience with Microsoft Exchange.
• Experience with MySQL or MS SQL databases.
• Strong Chinese communication and teamwork.
• Relevant certifications (RHCSA, RCHE, MCSE).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Perform infrastructure management including server room routine checks and data center facilities health checks coordinating with vendors.
• Administer and maintain servers (Linux/Windows) and storages in production and DR environments.
• Govern incident, problem, and change management, ensuring major incidents are resolved and root causes addressed.
• Establish, govern, and test IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity plans for critical systems.
• Ensure infrastructure security, patch management, backup operations, and compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead capacity planning, technology refresh, and lifecycle management to meet future business needs.
• Own the annual infrastructure budget, including CAPEX and OPEX.
• Provide IT operation support to the business department.

Job description

• Perform infrastructure management including server room routine check and data center facilities health check which coordinated with vendors.
• Administer and maintain servers (Linux/Windows) and storages in production and DR environments.
• Govern incident, problem, and change management, ensuring major incidents are resolved, root causes addressed, and service stability maintained.
• Establish, govern, and periodically review IT Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity plans and perform testing for critical systems.
• Ensure infrastructure security, patch management, backup operations, and compliance activities are executed in accordance with Group IT police standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead capacity planning, technology refresh, and life cycle management to anticipate future business requirements, mitigate operational risk, and prevent technology obsolescence.
• Own the annual infrastructure budget, including capital and operations expenditure.
• Provide IT operation support to the business department.

Requirement

• Batchelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience: At least 8 years of experience as a System Administer
• Proven maintenance experience of Microsoft Exchange.
• Understanding of database architecture and experience using databases (e.g., Mysql, MsSql)
• Skills: Strong Chinese communication skill and teamwork abilities to liaises with Head Office
