Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Lead Engineer with deep expertise in Satellite Communication systems integration. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and supporting SATCOM solutions for both presales engagements and project delivery. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and end-users to architect and commission secure, end-to-end satellite communication infrastructures.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for professionals passionate about communications technology and complex system deployments.

Location: AMK

Working hours: Monday to Friday, Standard Office Hours

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and commission satellite communication and supporting network systems
• Interpret and analyze project requirements and specifications to propose tailored system architectures
• Conduct technical validation of designs through detailed analysis and verification processes
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and design reviews for stakeholders
• Support proof-of-concept demonstrations and overseas system trials
• Configure and test systems including modems, terminals, and RF components
• Execute acceptance and interface testing, as well as system performance validation
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, reports, and configuration records
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in satellite communications

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma in IT or Engineering or related disciplines
• Min. 5-6 years of experience in system engineering / architecture
• Proven track record in leading and delivering large-scale system integration projects
• Experience with modem technologies such as iDirect or equivalent is preferred
• Familiarity with SATCOM terminals, RF subsystems, and link budget analysis
• Proficient with diagnostic tools such as spectrum analyzers and network testers
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a structured problem-solving approach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working independently or as part of a team
