• Bachelor/degree in IT, CS or Computer Applications and manufacturing exposure.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++ for device/app development.
• Experience in Windows and Linux OS environments.
• Knowledge of databases such as MySQL and SQL Server.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, RS-232/485 protocols and PLC interfaces.

Role: System Integration Engineer (IoT Application)

Location: Loyang

Salary: Up to $5,500

Job Summary

Deploy and maintain IoT and automation systems for local business units, ensuring seamless integration and operation of AIoT platforms. Collaborate cross-functionally and support Smart Manufacturing R&D with device commissioning and system updates.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, test, and maintain communication devices (IoT devices, PLCs) and applications to support local business unit operations
• Execute on-site data collection, edge integration, and field deployment at local BU facilities to enable real-time monitoring and control
• Collaborate with local BU departments to ensure smooth onboarding and deployment of AIoT platform functionalities
• Integrate factory automation systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and industrial equipment interfaces to optimize production processes
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues for field-level IoT devices supporting AIoT platforms
• Assist Smart Manufacturing R&D Center in deploying, testing, and commissioning new field devices and applications at local BUs
• Manage system updates, firmware maintenance, and software upgrades for field-level devices to ensure operational reliability
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with Business Units in Taiwan and China using their native languages to facilitate technical collaboration

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Application with at least 1 year of manufacturing industry experience
• Proficient in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, Java, HBuilderX, C++, and C for device and application development
• Experienced in OS configuration and administration across Windows 10/11, Windows 2000/XP/7, and Linux environments
• Hands‑on experience managing databases such as MySQL and SQL Server for data storage and retrieval
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols including TCP/IP, RS‑232, and RS‑485 for device networking
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Omron, Mitsubishi) and HMI integration to support automation systems
• Familiarity with industrial SCADA/HMI configuration software such as Advantech WebAccess for system visualization
• Proficient with remote access tools (Anydesk) and video conferencing platforms (Teams) for remote support and collaboration
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini) and open developer platforms (GitHub) to enhance development workflows
• Demonstrated teamwork, resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to work independently in dynamic environments
• Effective communication skills to engage with Business Units in China and Taiwan
• Ability to maintain composure and perform effectively under pressure in fast‑paced business settings
• Willingness to learn and adapt as training will be provided; no prior experience required
• Immediate starters preferred
