Job summary

A human resource solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and monitor systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering and proven experience in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. Responsibilities include system installations, configurations, and liaising with vendors. This position is targeted at Singaporeans only.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based or Windows environments.
• Solid experience in administration and performance tuning of application stacks.
• Experience with automation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure according to SOPs.
• Install, configure, and test operating systems and application software.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors for support.

Job Description:

• Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure to be in line with SOP (standard operating procedure) in place.
• Defines customers’ needs and functionalities.
• Assists in the coordination of system related activities and evaluation of the implementation design.
• Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Collaborates and manages various stakeholders to ensure high quality deliverables within the guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Anticipating & troubleshooting systems related issues.
• Continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies.
• Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for support where required.
• Provide system documentation and SOPs.

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based or windows environments.
• Experience in Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare, KVM or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
• knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Amazon Linux, etc; Windows Server 2019 will be an advantange
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks ) is an added advantage
• Experience with automation software is an added advantage
• Experience with networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) is an added advantage

Working Location: AMK (Travel to Site at Changi Airport)
