A leading company is looking for a skilled technician to maintain navigational and radar systems onboard naval platforms and manage IT security systems. This role offers the chance to work closely with engineers and project managers, ensuring the highest availability and readiness of critical systems.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of navigational & radar systems onboard and IT security systems onboard surface vessels and shore facilities. You will work closely with other engineers, Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to deliver quality maintenance services to our customers. You will have opportunities to manage maintenance operations at team, or workshop level.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with the Superintendent to upkeep the systems onboard the naval platforms at the highest state of availability and readiness
Perform navigational & radar systems maintenance tasks onboard vessels, workshop, and shipyards
Perform defect troubleshooting on navigational & radar systems
Perform installation/removal work for equipment/systems
Perform refurbishment of electronics unit/assemblies
Period:
1 year contract (renewable)
Location:
Tuas (shuttle bus service available at selected MRT station)
Working hours:
Mon-Fri, 8am – 5.30pm (but need to be comfortable and able to sail for up to 3 days if required)

Job Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in relevant discipline
Knowledge in Engineering, IT, or equivalent
Knowledge and experience on navigational, radar & networking system
Naval related maintenance or training certifications would be advantageous
Knowledge in firewalls, servers, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, VMware, SIEM, PAM and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) would be advantageous
Good working knowledge and experience working on-board commercial and military vessels on navigational / networking / electronic systems
Must be comfortable in doing troubleshooting on network-based systems.
Understanding maintenance regime and basic experience in troubleshooting system till card level
Able to adapt to changes well
Able to work well in a team and independently as when required
Able to work with challenging customers
Able to work at height and onboard naval platforms
Able to sail for up to 3 days if required (rarely)
