Connect Energy is partnering with an oilfield manufacturing company to recruit the following role.
Pre-requisite for consideration: Ability to communicate fluently in business level Mandarin is REQUIRED as 50% of work is in China (Plant and site). ONLY applicants who meet this condition will be considered.
*This position will be allowed to Work From Home when not required to travel to site or HQ.
Responsibilities:
- To interface with external suppliers and customers on all products and system level interfaces.
- Assist in FEED studies, be the Lead Engineering for tender package during quotation phase and as Project Engineering Manager during project execution phase.
- Identify changes to contact during interface work and advise project management of the change as variation orders.
- Responsible for all system engineering within the project and generation of Design Basis document and other system related documents.
- Responsible engineer for project system design review.
- Responsible engineer for system integration test and other related tests at system level.
- Participate in product design reviews with Singapore / China engineering team to ensure project requirements and interface are adequately considered.
- Coordinate among various departments in the plant, Singapore design office and internal / external interfaces suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Travel to vendors, suppliers or customers' facilities for meeting and discussion.
- Initiate and manage technical deviations / clarification with customer.
- Provide technical leadership as required on studies, projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Familiar with IWOCS system.
- Topside HPU, EPU, on site and remote-control panels umbilical reel, EQD system with integration to LMRP (above BOP) and to XT.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Min 7 years of design and project engineering experience.
- Strong understanding and work experience in at least two of the following subsea products / engineering: (1) subsea systems / subsystem engineering, (2) manifold and tie-in systems, (3) control systems, (4) subsea tree and installation / workover systems, (5) wellhead systems.
- Experience as system engineer from subsea system project or as lead project engineer for 2 or more subsea product projects.
- Have broad knowledge of processes, methods and procedures within project and engineering management.
- Can work under a fast-paced environment with tight schedule.
- Ability to travel frequently 50%.
- Meticulous and particular about product quality.
- Independent, resourceful and responsible.
- Proactive and ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
