Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Singapore is seeking an engineer for system evaluation and design for telecom systems. Responsibilities include managing design work, coordinating engineering drawings, and conducting acceptance tests. Essential knowledge includes CCTV, access control, and LAN systems, as well as experience with Cisco and Honeywell products. This is a contract position with a duration of two years.

Qualifications

• Industry-specific system & technical knowledge in CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, and LAN Systems.
• Product-specific knowledge/exposure to Honeywell products/software is essential.

Job description

Contract Position: 2-year duration

1. Perform system-level evaluation, analyze faults/failures, and recommend solutions.
2. Manage and develop engineering design work for telecom systems (CCTV, ACS, and LAN systems).
3. Be part of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) team for developing engineering design standards for telecommunication projects.
4. Coordinate with the drafting office on engineering drawings.
5. Ensure the quality of engineering work and processes.
6. Manage, control, and supervise the integration and engineering work for projects.
7. Recommend engineering solutions and alternatives to meet project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
8. Prepare technical and design documentation and calculation reports (e.g., Block Diagram, Bill of Materials, Functional Design Specification, Termination Drawings, Calculation Reports, Cabinet Wiring Diagrams).
9. Develop system, integration, and simulation test requirements; plan acceptance criteria; and perform testing.
10. Conduct product Factory and Site acceptance tests with clients.
11. Hold design freeze meetings with stakeholders and clients for major purchase orders.
12. Industry-specific system & technical knowledge: CCTV System, Access Control System, Fire Alarm System, and LAN System are essential.
13. Product-specific knowledge/exposure: Cisco L2 and L3 Switches, FortiGate Firewall, Domain Controllers, Honeywell TS2 Temaline, Honeywell DVM R600, and Honeywell Experion Software Platform (Honeywell product/software knowledge is essential).
