Job description

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer – Electrical Engineer to join our client, Bro Rad Laboratories, on a 1-year contract. The candidate will be responsible for product transfers, production line set-up, continuous process improvement, and ensuring high-quality standards within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Product Transfer (new or existing products) from overseas.
  • Set up and balance production lines, including training operators.
  • Achieve and maintain Manufacturing First Pass Test Yield targets.
  • Manage engineering change requests and qualifications.
  • Lead continuous process improvement projects.
  • Perform failure analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Define and maintain procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  • Review customer return disposition and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure design reviews focus on manufacturability, availability, and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a discrete manufacturing environment (Life Sciences / Medical Devices industry preferred).
  • Proven accountability for yield targets, line stoppage avoidance, and multiple product line support.
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical/electronic components, engineering change management, and Bill-Of-Material (BOM) creation/maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, risk management, pFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes (PCBA, wire harness, cables, connectors, power supplies).
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer.
