Job summary

A leading human resources firm in Singapore is looking for a System Engineer to manage and monitor systems and infrastructure. The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, experience in IT system management, and a proactive approach to operations support. System Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
2. Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
3. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
4. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
5. Maintain security, backup, redundancy and BCP strategies
6. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
7. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
8. Manage the VMWare environment
9. Provide enterprise-wide support to a high level of Microsoft Azure & Rehat Linux
10. Support the HPE and Hitachi environments
11. Provide support in a 24/7 environment and would require to work on-call at least 1 week every month

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• IT System Management experience of various aspect
• Possess initiative, positive attitude and strong passion in operation support
• Good communication skills and able to work independently;
• Able to start work immediately or within a short notice is an advantage
• knowledge of the following technologies:
• System Monitoring
• Backup And Recovery
• Windows Server OS with good understanding of Windows AD, DNS, GPO and Failover Clustering
• SAN storage with good understanding of remote site replication (Knowledge of administrating Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform would be an added advantage)
