Job description

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in Automation and Control systems, with a strong background in hands-on service or operational experience involving Automations and thrusters, which is considered an added advantage.

What you will be doing
  • Customer Support and Service Focus: Provide exceptional customer support, commissioning, and service for Kongsberg Maritime products.
  • Regional Service Coverage: Manage service activities in Southeast Asia, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Technical Preparation and Execution: Conduct workshop tests, prepare and execute work assignments to meet performance standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate service reports, update drawings, and maintain relevant databases and documents.
  • Remote Support and Assistance: Provide remote guidance and product support to customers, and offer backend support to the service team.
  • Administrative and Ad-Hoc Duties: Handle pre- and post-work administrative tasks and undertake ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.
We think you should have
  • Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronic Engineering. Fresh graduates with a relevant engineering degree are encouraged to apply. Relevant experience in the maritime industry is an advantage.
  • Onboard Experience: Experience with ship automation systems (controls and propulsion), system processes, distributed control systems, and power management. Ability to work independently.
  • Key Skills: Strong cooperative and communication skills, result-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Problem-Solving Approach: Meticulous and methodical in remote case handling, with a proactive attitude.
  • Customer Focus: Passionate and patient in customer interactions, with a service-minded approach.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel overseas on short notice.
