Job description

Job Summary

We are currently looking for talented candidates to join Unifiedcomms as a System Engineer.

As a System Engineer, you will be an active member of the delivery team, responsible for project deliveries and providing technical support for production systems. You will also support presales activities using existing product offerings to solve customer problems, with active customer interaction throughout your work.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide installation and technical support to customers, including but not limited to equipment such as servers, network switches, NAS, and virtualization platforms (VMWare/Redhat KVM).
  2. Manage systems including administration, backup/recovery, and performance/fault management.
  3. Perform and manage routine preventive maintenance and operational activities promptly and effectively.
  4. Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Prepare project documentation (such as User Acceptance Tests and system overviews) and reports.
  6. Participate in rotating shifts to provide 24x7 technical support via phone.
  7. Provide Level 2 technical support and diagnose problems through onsite or remote troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Unix/Linux OS, virtualization (VM), MySQL/MariaDB, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication signaling protocols such as SIP, SS7, Sigtran, Diameter, GTP-C/U.
  • Basic programming and scripting skills in any programming platform.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, Hadoop, data analytics, data visualization, and cybersecurity.
  • Relevant work experience in the Telco industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of voice solutions such as IP PBX, contact centers, and VoIP is advantageous.
  • Team player with cooperative spirit and excellent coordination skills.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant degrees and outstanding results are encouraged to apply.
