Job summary

CLIXER+ PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT/Systems Engineer to coordinate system development tasks, install and configure hardware and software, and monitor performance to ensure robust operations in a data-centre setting.

The candidate should have IT-related degrees/diplomas, basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VLANs), and experience with Windows/Linux servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services. Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• ITE/ diploma/ bachelor qualifications in IT related fields.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing and firewalls.
• Familiar with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
• Experience with servers, storage, virtualization and cloud computing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, access control and patch management.
• Ability to document systems, diagrams, procedures and test reports.
• Willingness to learn and pursue relevant certifications.
• Data centre experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.
• Installation and configuration of hardware and software, implementation, warranty and support activities.
• Monitor the performance of systems and continually assess all stages of operations to ensure structural integrity and that a problem is solved.
• Oversees all transitions into production by testing, analysis, and retesting for glitch detection and other issues.
• Develop and complete actions in system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines.
• Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.

Requirements

• ITE, Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Multimedia& Information Technology, Infocomm Security Management, Computer Engineering qualifications.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, DNS and DHCP.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including system administration.
• Basic knowledge of servers, storage, virtualisation, cloud computing and backup solutions.
• Good technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity, access control, system hardening and patch management.
• Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, implementation procedures and test reports.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and obtain relevant professional certifications.
• Prior experience working in a data centre environment will be an added advantage.
