Job summary

We Asia in Singapore is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement and commission new systems and maintain existing ones. The role involves building a full ICT infrastructure stack and supporting application teams with integration.

The successful candidate will perform VM configuration and deployment on Azure Stack Hub, manage Windows Server and domain administration, patching, SQL Server, Linux-based appliances, backups, and network security. 24/7 fault response is required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have minimum 2 years of hands-on experience and at least 5 of the skills listed above.

Responsibilities

• Azure Stack Hub VM configuration and deployment with related services.
• Manage Windows Server versions, server configuration and domain administration.
• OS patching, upgrading, and security hardening.
• SQL Server management and data protection.
• Deployment and maintenance of Linux-based Virtual Appliance and Ubuntu OS.
• Backup jobs configuration and daily maintenance with Commvault.
• Network design, security concepts and SSL certificate management.
• Provide preventive maintenance and 24/7 fault response with user communication.
• Hands-on VM work in Datacentre and system architecture/proposal work.
• Maintain system documentation and DevOps collaboration.

We are seeking for Systems Engineer who will be assigned to work on the design, implementation and commissioning of new system and or handling maintenance system.

The successful candidate will involve in the construction of a full ICT infrastructure stack and supporting application teams with integration.

Main Responsibilities

• Azure Stack Hub Virtualisation Environment – VM configuration and deployment, including Azure Stack services that supports the VMs (NSG, Load balancer, Virtual Images, Storages, etc)
• Windows Server 2019 (or 2016)
• Server configuration
• Windows Domain Administration
• OS patching, upgrading
• Microsoft SQL 2019, 2016/7
• Configuration, upgrading, hardening and administration
• Deployment and maintenance of Linux-based Virtual Appliance
• Deployment and maintenance of Ubuntu OS
• Commvault
• Configuration and management of backup jobs
• Networks and network security concepts, design and implementation
• System Security concepts, SSL Certificates
• Preventive Maintenance Tasks
• On standby and to respond to system fault at site 24/7 and communication with user on the fault
• Hands-on/ground-level work on VMs in Datacentre
• Skill set to perform analyzing/proposing system architecture/solution for system requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidate must have minimum 2 years of hands-on experience and at least 5 or more skills required as stated above.
• Knowledge and experience in DevOps operation.
