Job summary

Kerry Consulting in Singapore seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to administer and optimize an enterprise big data platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across production environments.

You will lead DevOps initiatives, automate provisioning with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible), implement CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate on platform resilience for AI workloads. Prior CDP on‑prem and Hadoop experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms or big data environments.
• Hands-on DevOps with automation, scripting, CI/CD, IaC.
• Experience administering CDP on-premises is highly preferred.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem is advantageous.
• Ability to solve complex infrastructure challenges in an enterprise environment.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and continuously improve the enterprise big data platform to ensure high availability, performance, and security across production environments.
• Manage platform operations, monitor system health, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement best practices for platform reliability and resilience.
• Automate platform provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Contribute to DevOps initiatives by building automated deployment pipelines, improving operational efficiency, and reducing manual intervention across the platform lifecycle.
• Support platform upgrades, capacity planning, patch management, disaster recovery, and performance tuning while ensuring the platform remains secure, stable, and scalable for enterprise data and AI workloads.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms or big data environments.
• Strong DevOps experience with proven automation, scripting, CI/CD practices, and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise big data platforms; experience administering Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) on-premises is highly preferred.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to solve complex infrastructure challenges and work collaboratively within an enterprise platform engineering environment.
