System Analyst – Oracle SQL / Unix / DevOps - Contract

Client : A leading global banking client
We are looking for a Senior System Analyst to join a critical banking technology team supporting enterprise-scale systems across the Asia region. The role involves application environment setup, system integration, release deployment, and production support for large-scale financial applications. You will be working closely with infrastructure, change, and delivery teams to ensure end-to-end system stability and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage system setup and integration activities across Dev, SIT, UAT, and Production environments
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Unix Shell for deployment and monitoring
- Write and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts for system data processing
- Coordinate application releases via DevOps pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Aldon)
- Troubleshoot interface issues across Connect:Direct, SFTP, and IBM MQ channels
- Support infrastructure patching, SSL, wallet, and firewall configurations
- Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are met for release and incident response
- Collaborate with vendor teams and internal stakeholders for requirement resolution
- Provide technical documentation and walkthroughs for implemented solutions
- Monitor systems in Unix/Linux and Windows environments and escalate proactively
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in system support, release, or analysis roles
- Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills for application-level development or data analysis
- Hands-on scripting in Unix/Linux environments (Shell scripting mandatory)
- Experience with deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, or Control-M
- Good understanding of job scheduling, logs handling, and troubleshooting
- Prior experience working in banking or financial services projects is preferred
- Working knowledge of system integration setups (e.g., MQ, SFTP, Connect:Direct)
- Familiarity with change and release management processes in enterprise settings
- Strong communication skills to work with internal tech teams and external vendors
- Able to manage production incidents with RCA and permanent fixes
Nice to Have (Preferred):
- Experience with Actimize or other compliance/monitoring tools
- Familiarity with Vaults, Oracle Wallet, or application security concepts
- Exposure to compliance-related application support (e.g., transaction monitoring)
