Job summary

Evolution Singapore is seeking an experienced Data Platform Analyst to lead platform strategy, roadmap and lifecycle for MLS platforms. You will provide technical leadership for Name Screening, Transaction Monitoring and Customer Risk Scoring, and ensure architecture governance aligns with enterprise standards.

You will drive delivery with System Analysts, Technical Delivery Managers and external partners, oversee ETL and data quality initiatives, and coordinate with infrastructure for stability

Key Responsibilities

• Own platform strategy, roadmap and service lifecycle management.
• Provide technical leadership for Name Screening, Transaction Monitoring and Customer Risk Scoring platforms.
• Lead architecture governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Manage platform enhancements, BAU initiatives, model onboarding and regulatory changes.
• Drive delivery across System Analysts, Technical Delivery Managers, Core Services and external vendors.
• Oversee ETL engineering, data integration and data quality initiatives supporting MLS platforms.
• Partner with Core Services on platform stability, capacity planning, DR readiness and technology refresh activities.
• Support Pre-ITC, Architecture Review, Security Review, ISRA and Project Governance activities.
• Own vendor performance, technical direction and solution quality.
• Act as escalation point for major incidents, platform risks and strategic initiatives.

Must Have

• 10+ years of IT experience as System Analyst, Data Platform Analyst, Solution Designer, or Technical Lead supporting enterprise applications
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
• Ability to read and understand Unix/Linux scripts, Python or Java code for troubleshooting and impact assessment purposes
• Hands-on development experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Exposure to Generative AI, AI-assisted development tools or ML platforms would be advantageous.
• Experience working with Big Data or Data Platform environments such as Cloudera CDP, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Data Lake or similar technologies
• Ability to evaluate solution options and understand platform capabilities, limitations, scalability and operational considerations
• Experience coordinating with infrastructure teams, application teams, external vendors and technology partners throughout project delivery lifecycle
• Experience supporting production systems, troubleshooting complex incidents and driving root cause analysis activities
• Strong experience in requirements analysis, functional specification, technical specification, data mapping and process mapping

Good to Have

• Experience with Cloudera CDP ecosystem (Hive, Spark, Impala, Kafka, NiFi, Ranger, Atlas, Ozone)
• Experience supporting AML, Compliance, Risk Monitoring, Name Screening or Transaction Monitoring platforms
• Understanding of distributed systems, data lake and big data architectures
• Familiarity with infrastructure concepts including networking, firewall connectivity, load balancing, HA/DR and capacity planning
• Experience working with HPE, Cloudera or similar platform vendors
• Familiarity with Control-M, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence and DevOps tools
• Experience with release management, SIT, UAT and production deployment activities
