Job description

Business Function

The Transformation Group reports to the Group Head of Strategy and Planning (GSP) who supports the CEO and senior management team on the implementation of the Group's strategic agenda, including working with the businesses and functions to drive strategic initiatives across geographies. The mandate of Consumer Banking Group Singapore Business Analytics is to lead and support our Consumer Banking Group stakeholders towards being an AI Fueled support unit.

About the role

As a Data/ Business Analytics lead, you will use your expertise to ideate and enhance the customer 360 through data and analytics - a holistic customer view across behaviours, journey, and touchpoints. In addition, you will use your program leadership and expertise in data platform management to drive significant impact on individual performance cells' ability to rapidly test, learn, and iterate, while unlocking new opportunities.

This role will support BAU reports & data mart management related to Consumer Banking Group and support ongoing improvements and migration efforts, including overseeing data pipelines, script optimization, job monitoring, data migration, and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and data platform needs and working with Technologies to deliver solutions.
  • Always ensure clear operating model with data platforms and control tower platforms.
  • End-to-end data solutioning which includes translate business problems into data requirements, data discovery and data processing to deliver outcome.
  • Responsible for usage, adoption and governance of data platform and control tower platform
  • Ideate, enhance, and own reusable data marts and data assets to support product, segments, and journey analytics.
  • Work with transformation group, senior leadership, and technology teams to develop the strategy and platform capabilities.
  • Setup cadence - define, educate, and evangelize best practices to enable performance cells to run experimentation at a scale.
  • Manage the BAU reports and data marts and continue to look for improvements in the existing data management processes.
    Support the ongoing data and platform migration project.

  • Partner with stakeholders and build strong rapport. Collaborate widely to drive actions and realise impact.
  • Able to influence decision-making through clear storytelling; Simplify complex concepts and deliver the ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Actively define and drive Martech initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) with a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in data analytics and business intelligence, with several years of experience in managing data analytics product delivery and platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Highly numerate with keen eye for details and accuracy;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to explain complex concepts with simplicity. Strong ability to present and communicate to senior management.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with stakeholders with discerning tact.
  • Growth mindset; Open to transformation capabilities in the organisation; Actively promote and encourage adoption of enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Well versed with data analytics and data management tools and platforms.
  • Highly proficient with data wrangling, analytic, transformation and feature engineering using programming tools such as Spark, Python or R. Excellent knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as QlikView, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Process management capabilities; manage, optimize, and control process.
  • Understanding of Retail Banking environment.
  • Experience in delivering complex initiatives and to engage with cross functional stakeholders.
