Job description

Business Function

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, and foreign exchange. DBS has cultivated long-standing regional relationships based on account management, service differentiation, product development, and rigorous credit standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the loan portfolio and account requirements of ERI clients in Singapore and select DBS footprint countries to drive franchise and industry income, contributing to the team’s P&L performance.
  2. If experienced in team leadership, lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of global industry coverage bankers, overseeing portfolio P&L across key products such as Loans (including Syndicated and Project Finance), Cash, Trade, Treasury, Markets, and Investment Banking (including ECM, DCM, M&A).
  3. Grow portfolio earnings and improve ROE through cross-selling and strategic account planning, focusing on digital and sustainability agendas, including acquiring new mandates and capturing related opportunities.
  4. Identify new client targets and develop acquisition plans; work with senior management to originate investment banking and advisory mandates.
  5. Manage existing customer portfolios, especially large accounts, ensuring operational excellence across geographies.
  6. Collaborate with DBS Geographies to enhance brand and revenue, targeting new clients and joint account planning.
  7. Engage regularly with clients at all levels, supported by briefing notes, to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
  8. Ensure high-quality pitches, accurate monthly reviews, and proactive account monitoring, including credit risk management and timely escalation.
  9. Oversee credit memos, credit reviews, and financial modeling, ensuring accuracy and depth of analysis.
  10. Manage loan and security documentation processes and negotiations effectively.
  11. Cultivate a strong team culture aligned with DBS values, develop KPIs, and promote talent development and mobility.
