SVP, Cyber Security Engineering (Data Security and Protection Engineer), COO's Office

Location: Singapore, SG

Chief Operating Officer's (COO) Office

The COO's Office supports our COO in streamlining operations and aligning them with strategic goals, working closely with department heads and stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Cyber Security & Resilience

You will be part of an independent risk management team tasked with protecting the firm’s IT assets and data from external threats and operational risks, facilitating secure digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify and recommend improvements in enterprise security architecture to counter evolving cybersecurity threats.
  2. Balance business requirements with cybersecurity, information, and technology needs according to the organization’s risk appetite.
  3. Design, build, and implement enterprise-grade cybersecurity systems, including proof-of-concept and proof-of-value evaluations.
  4. Develop security operating models and documentation to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
  5. Serve as a domain expert and trusted partner in Cyber Security & Resilience, collaborating with stakeholders across technology and business units.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services or asset management, with at least 7 years in Cybersecurity or Information Security.
  • Hands-on experience with data security solutions, including data discovery, encryption, DLP, DRM, privacy technologies, key management, and HSMs.
  • Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Scripting skills in Java, Python, C#, or similar; understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools like SIEM, threat intelligence, incident response, and forensic investigation is advantageous.
  • Strong documentation skills, meticulousness, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Professional security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
