Business Function

DBS' Private Banking offers a one-stop, full-service touch-point for total banking requirements and provides the highest level of personalized banking. We have a team of dedicated, experienced investment advisors who identify opportunities in the various asset classes and employ the best strategies and product vehicles to cater to each client's needs. Coupled with partnerships within the DBS network and with global institutions, we strive to build long-term relationships with our Private Banking clients in Asia by providing them with high quality, timely and extensive wealth management, investment and financial solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Support Region Heads in their management of their markets.
  • Execute relevant strategies for each Region in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment to Region/Market nuances
  • Monitor Team Performance on a regular basis to ensure objectives are on track and take necessary corrective action.
  • Continuous communication and re-iteration of business objectives / compliance & regulatory matters to team and relevant stakeholders
  • Follow up on action items as required
  • Coordinate with Front Office on workflows/ bank processes that require Business Management's oversight
  • Work closely / support Head of Business Manager on any initiatives & BAU activities
  • Work with performance management team to draw out business analysis/trends to help improve RM productivity/improve Balanced Scorecard
  • To have an overview of team matters to ensure business objectives are on track and take necessary corrective action.
  • Conduit for Front Office to propose enhancements/feedback
  • Represent Front Office voice in various forum
  • Region delegate in forums/meetings, as decided by Region Head
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and above, preferably in business, finance, economics or related fields
  • 10-15 years of working experience
  • Excellent numeracy, analytical and language skills
  • Experience in business strategy preferred
  • Good understanding of the Private Banking business
  • Good understanding on governance and risk/control related matters
  • Knowledge of financial markets and products preferred
  • Resourceful with ability to multi-task
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint & Excel
