Nanyang Technological University Singapore is seeking a Research Associate to conduct advanced research in sustainable materials and decarbonization science. The successful candidate will engage in materials characterization and contribute to innovative projects aimed at enhancing sustainable engineering practices.

This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and involves the design of experiments, data analysis, and the preparation of technical reports. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required, while entry-level candidates with relevant research experience are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in materials synthesis, corrosion studies, or advanced characterization techniques.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and organization.

The key objective is to support efforts to advance sustainable technologies through materials innovation and decarbonization research. The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) leads multidisciplinary research in sustainable materials, energy systems, and low‑carbon technologies to accelerate the global transition toward net‑zero emissions. ERI@N’s research spans material characterization, corrosion and durability studies, and the development of advanced materials for offshore and onshore renewable energy applications.

We are looking for a Research Associate to conduct advanced research in sustainable materials and decarbonization science. The role will emphasize materials characterization, structure–property analysis, and the development of innovative materials for wind turbines, contributing to the ERI@N’s mission of advancing sustainable engineering research.
