Are you passionate about driving sustainable change in the tech industry? Our client, a renowned regional Data Centre owner, is seeking a Senior/Sustainability Director to lead their team in driving sustainability initiatives to support the organization’s broader sustainability goals.

As our Sustainability Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable data centre operations. You will also champion initiatives externally to position us as a leader in green data centres and support the promotion of sustainable solutions in the region.

What you will do

1. Spearhead sustainability efforts and manage all end to end sustainability related matters in water, energy and waste
2. Collaborate closely with various teams within the organization to embed sustainability into core business practices and inspire positive changes
3. Develop sustainability strategies for ICT operations, especially in data centres, and educate the wider teams
4. Partner closely with the strategy team to drive green innovation and establish partnerships with external entities such as government agencies and technology companies
5. Engage with key stakeholders including the Group Sustainability team
6. Establish systems and frameworks for gathering, managing, and reporting ESG data.
7. Stay informed on sustainability trends, opportunities and challenges to support strategic planning
8. Research and implement emerging sustainable technologies in data centre operations.
9. Additional responsibilities relevant to the role may be assigned as needed

What you bring

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
2. Minimum 12 years of relevant experience driving sustainability programs, preferably in the Data Center or in the technical field
3. Experience in managing cross functional teams
4. Deep knowledge in energy management sustainability, green Data Centre requirements and the renewable energy landscape in the region
5. Candidates who possess certifications such as Green Mark Manager, Singapore Certified Energy Manager and ISO1400 series qualifications are highly desirable
