A leading law firm in Singapore is seeking a motivated individual to support its ESG & Public Policy practice. The candidate will analyze data, prepare reports, and assist with regulatory submissions focusing on sustainability matters. The ideal applicant has educational experience in sustainability and 2–4 years in sustainable finance or consulting, excellent research and analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite. We have the following position for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our Firm:

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the ESG & Public Policy practice in the following areas:
  • Collecting and analysing data for reporting, gap analysis and benchmarking across competitors and industries as well as researching key sustainability trends and topics
  • Writing reports and analysis papers, including developing thought leadership on material ESG issues and strategies, competitive dynamics, economic trends, public policy issues, and market intelligence
  • Preparing summaries, slide decks and briefing notes that translate complex information into clear, practical insights for clients
  • Managing submissions to regulatory agencies, and assisting clients on ESG compliance matters and legal risk reviews
  • Reviewing internal ESG reports and working with internal functions to collect data on ESG matters
  • Building and managing client relationships

Job Requirements

  • Educational background in sustainability, environmental science, business, economics, strategy, finance or related disciplines
  • 2 – 4 years of work experience in sustainable finance, sustainability consulting or audit roles
  • Technical understanding of key sustainability frameworks, taxonomies and standards, ESG ratings and assessments, corporate greenhouse gas emissions measurement
  • Strong understanding of corporate sustainability concepts and how ESG factors affect company performance and/or investment outcomes across sectors
  • Knowledge and interest in sustainability-related areas or topics
  • Excellent research, data management and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn and able to manage time efficiently
  • Track record in delivering results and working towards a common goal within a diverse team environment
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (incl. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
