Position: Sushi Chef
Location: Kurisu Sushi, Singapore

Kurisu Sushi is seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team.
We are a new concept focusing on a high-quality, counter-style omakase and handroll experience, where craftsmanship, precision, and guest experience are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve sushi, sashimi, handrolls, and omakase courses to the highest standards.
  • Ensure freshness, quality, and presentation of all ingredients.
  • Manage preparation, portioning, and storage according to best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Engage with guests warmly during service, explaining dishes and enhancing their dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and culinary team to innovate and uphold Kurisu Sushi’s standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef, preferably in a fine dining or omakase setting.
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese ingredients, fish handling, knife skills, and traditional techniques.
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Japanese language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
