Job summary

KLA is seeking an Applications Development Engineer for SurfScan SPx in Singapore. You will support and demonstrate complex SurfScan products, develop test cases, and characterize performance to guide product improvements.

The role requires travel, strong technical acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Physics/Materials Science and have a solid grounding in semiconductor

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field.
• Willingness to travel ~70% domestically/internationally.
• Strong technical skills to understand functionality of SurfScan tools and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Provide applications development support to Surfscan SPx products.
• Develop test cases and characterize customer defects, new products and features.
• Provide product demonstrations and assess applications to meet customer needs; prepare detailed specifications.
• Characterize tool/algorithm performance and give clear feedback to Engineering for product improvement during Alpha/Beta tests.
