Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Singapore to join our Surfscan team. You will contribute to system definition, integration, and validation from early development through release and field deployment, while driving ECO/FCO processes and coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will lead root cause investigations, define test strategies, and provide hands-on lab and field testing. Domestic and international travel is expected to support escalations and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, complex systems, or related high-tech industry.
• Strong system-level engineering capability across multidisciplinary subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute system-level test plans, including validation and reliability testing.
• Lead root cause investigations for performance and field issues using structured methods.
• Own ECO/FCO processes and manage changes across hardware, software, and systems.
• Provide field escalation support and travel to customer sites as needed.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and service teams to improve product performance.
