Job summary

Michael Page Singapore is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Architect to design and deploy cluster architectures across on-premise and cloud environments, including OpenShift, AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and GKE.

You will build scalable container platforms using IaC and GitOps, manage monitoring stacks, and ensure high availability with ongoing on-call support when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and operations.
• Strong containerization, virtualization, and cloud tech (OpenShift, AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GKE).
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and CI/CD.
• Manage full Kubernetes lifecycle with high availability and resilience.
• Knowledge of GitOps practices and automation of SOPs.
• On-call standby support when required.

Job Description

• Design and deploy Kubernetes/OpenShift cluster architecture across on-premise (Red Hat OpenShift) and cloud environments (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GCP GKE).
• Build and automate scalable container platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, reusable templates, and standardized Dev/UAT/Prod environments.
• Implement and manage cluster components, including control planes, worker nodes, networking, storage, monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Ensure platform reliability through performance tuning, alerting, enterprise monitoring integration, troubleshooting, and 24/7 operational support when required.

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes (K8s) architecture, deployment, and operations.
• Strong expertise in containerization, virtualization, and cloud technologies, including OpenShift, AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and CI/CD automation.
• Solid background in infrastructure operations, capacity planning, incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex platform issues.
• Ability to manage the full Kubernetes platform lifecycle, including design, deployment, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Strong understanding of cluster networking, storage integration, GitOps practices, and automation of operational processes and SOPs.
• Comfortable providing operational support, including participation in standby or on-call support when required.
