Job description

Supply Chain Specialist based in Singapore

Responsible for Singapore Supply Chain activities management including demand and supply planning, collaborate closely with suppliers, 3PL & forwarders. Support to the team through planning activities & process and in accordance to Smith & Nephew objective. Responsible for supply chain reporting and numbers collection in providing weekly/monthly management report on status of activities. Provide support to continuous improvement activities/projects to improve efficiency and cost.

What will you be doing?

  1. Manage that the replenishment and inbound Inventory is in line with demand forecast and agreed target stock.
  2. Responsible for the PO activities including creation of PO for out-of-scope items, work with APAC Hub on expediting urgent deliveries, reduce ageing PO and past due PO.
  3. Resolve "Stock-Out", "Sales Spikes", Invoice and Supplier related discrepancies, Parts Received discrepancies & etc.
  4. Liaise with vendor, forwarder & 3PL to improve supply chain process; stock availability, timely delivery, custom clearance, goods receipt & data accuracy.
  5. Collate & provide stock situation (current available on-hand stocks) and incoming shipment information daily.
  6. Prepare & monitor SC KPI (key performance indicators) Stock, Service, OTD, forecast accuracy, demand planning and take/coordinate corrective actions to improve.
  7. Analyze Key Planning Parameters to achieve a balance between Inventory and Forecast, e.g. reduce stock-out/inventory reduction/turns improvement/lead-time reduction.
  8. Work closely with Sales & Marketing to improve inventory turns - minimize excess & obsolete inventory and maximize service levels.
  9. Coordinate monthly SIOP process to understand the latest market requirement. Able to question if forecast has doubt.
  10. Collaborate with various departments (i.e. regulatory, sales, finance, etc.) or countries for inputs & enquiries pertaining to supply chain.
  11. Monitoring on the day to day billing EDI to system and to do a match against 3PL’s billing Receiving of goods into the accounting software daily and check all purchase orders and goods received are duly dedicated to trade invoices for approval.
  12. Align with all HSE (Occupational Health, Safety & Environment) and Quality policies and procedures as required by job function and completes all required HSE and Quality training.
  13. Provide support to process improvement /project implementation or ad hoc tasks.
  14. To always act in a responsible manner to avoid risk to self or to the company and comply with the workplace safety and health and security policy.
  15. Any other duties involved within the role and/or the tasks as assigned from time to time.

What will you need to be successful?

  1. Diploma in Business Administration/ Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field.
  2. At least 5 years of relevant Supply Chain; Order follow up & Inventory management; Supply & Demand Planning experience.
  3. Knowledge of shipping documents.
  4. Experience in medical device industry an advantage.
  5. Ability to communicate professionally and work with multiple stakeholders (internally and external).
  6. Ability to multi-task and work in dynamic business environment (deadlines) and experienced in Microsoft Excel.
