The Role:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to understand demand fluctuations.
Assess production capacity and constraints to optimize resource utilization.
Collaborate with production teams to balance workloads and ensure timely deliveries.
Conduct MRP analysis to determine raw material and component requirements.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Work closely with external suppliers to coordinate the delivery of raw materials and components.
Negotiate lead times and quantities to align with production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
Ensure timely order fulfillment by coordinating with production teams and addressing any bottlenecks.
Communicate production schedules to relevant stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the production planning function.
Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and logistics teams to align production plans with overall business goals.
Communicate changes in production schedules to relevant stakeholders.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Identify potential risks to production schedules and implement mitigation strategies.
Develop contingency plans for unforeseen disruptions.
Ad-hoc duties by superior or management.
What are we looking for?
At least 2 years of production planning experience.
