Job description

Key Information:

  • Working location in the West (walking distance from MRT)
  • 5 day work week 8am to 5pm (no hybrid working arrangement)

About the role

This position oversees a team of buyers and planners responsible for developing and executing the master production schedule aligned with the monthly sales and operations plan. Key duties include managing production and supplier schedules, tracking material inventories, and coordinating closely with the Inventory and Warehouse team. The role also involves monitoring production progress, addressing issues affecting output, and recommending corrective actions. Additionally, the leader will guide the team in day-to-day supply chain operations such as ordering materials, expediting deliveries, managing safety stock, handling invoicing, and supporting quality and VRMA initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure all supply chain timelines are met efficiently to achieve on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for strategic supply chain material planning, encompassing procurement, sourcing, inventory, and production planning.
  • Ensures accurate material forecasting and inventory management by aligning plant capacity with short and long-term demand.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Finance, IT, and Legal to resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Oversees supplier performance and purchasing strategy, maintains accurate production and supplier schedules, and uses capacity planning tools to optimize operations.
  • Develops master production schedules, monitors KPIs, supports new product scheduling, and communicates supply chain risks with actionable recommendations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management. APICS certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in Supply Chain Planning and Procurement. With 5 years in a managerial role within manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, planning operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Adept at building and maintaining cross-functional relationships.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experienced with ERP, MRP, DRP, or similar inventory systems. Knowledge of Crystal Reports is a plus.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong sense of accountability and business acumen.
