Job Description

1. Source and purchase new and used containers according to business requirements.
2. Source materials, equipment and services required for production and projects.
3. Request and compare supplier quotations.
4. Negotiate pricing, lead time and commercial terms within authorised limits.
5. Issue and follow up purchase orders.
6. Liaise with suppliers regarding specifications, quantities and delivery schedules.
7. Coordinate closely with Production and Projects on material requirements.
8. Monitor material availability against upcoming jobs.
9. Follow up outstanding deliveries and elevate potential shortages.
10. Coordinate incoming containers/materials with warehouse and Operations.
11. Maintain supplier, purchasing and pricing records.
12. Assist with inventory and stock reconciliation.
13. Source alternative suppliers and products to improve cost, quality or availability.
14. Support container buyback/purchasing activities.
15. Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.
16. Ensure procurement documentation is properly maintained in the company's ERP/system.
