Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, source, and onboard new vendors based on competitiveness factors such as cost, quality, on-time delivery, and service levels.
- Regularly review vendor pool to ensure that vendors remain relevant to meet the company's expectations and requirements.
- Reinforce supply chain efficiency through specialized commodity teams by providing expertise in selecting, growing, and optimizing approved vendor pool.
- Conduct price analysis and negotiate lead times within vendor pool to ensure and improve price competitiveness, lead time, and on-time delivery.
- Build up vendor relationship that will lead to adherence to schedules, budgets, work plans, and performance requirements
- Support Planner in generation of System Report and collation of database
- Ensure all procurement activities follows the company's purchasing guidelines and maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure adherence to contractually agreed specifications and standards, including accreditation/class bodies.
- Liaise with engineering department to refine and optimize requirements and ECN activities
- Optimization of product line inventory and ensure demand is met through placement of scheduled purchases
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering (in Mechanical or Electronics), Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of sourcing/procurement experience in mechanical/electronics industry.
- *Fresh Graduates with Engineering or Supply Chain background may be considered
- Experience with supplier audit and supplier relationship management is an added advantage
- Experience in dealing with East Asia based suppliers is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, and ability to multitask.
- High level of integrity and impartiality in vendor selection and management.
- Familiarly with ERP Systems like Netsuite, SAP would be a plus
