About the Programme:

The NTU Chief Operating Officer (COO) Programme, designed by Nanyang Technological University – Nanyang Business School in collaboration with Emeritus, is a 7–8 month blended executive education experience for senior and aspiring COOs. It empowers operations leaders to align business strategy with operational excellence, adopt new-age technologies, and lead sustainable, data-driven, and resilient organizations.

Industry masterclasses are a key feature of the programme, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with leading practitioners who are shaping the future of operations across sectors.

We are seeking an Industry Expert to lead a high-impact session on the topic:

“Integrating Circular Economy Principles into Operations”

Scheduled for: 5th July 2025, 11:00 AM SGT

This live, 60–75 minute virtual session will bring a practitioner lens to sustainable operations by exploring how circular economy frameworks can be embedded into end-to-end business operations—from design to delivery. The expert will engage a global cohort of senior operations professionals, business leaders, and COOs with thought-provoking examples, practical tools, and real-world insights.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Design for Circularity: Understand how to embed circular thinking at the product, service, and process level.
• Drive Resource Efficiency & Waste Minimization: Apply strategies that reduce material inputs, optimise energy use, and manage waste across the value chain.
• Build Closed-Loop Supply Chains: Explore operational models that enable reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling at scale.
• Operationalize Circularity: Identify tools and metrics for measuring circular performance and aligning sustainability goals with operational KPIs.

Expert Profile Requirements:

We are looking for a practitioner who meets the following criteria:

• 15+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or sustainability leadership roles within circular economy-focused or sustainability-forward organisations.
• Deep expertise in design for sustainability, reverse logistics, ESG frameworks, product lifecycle optimisation, or circular supply chains.
• Proven track record of leading circular transformation initiatives in manufacturing, consumer goods, energy, technology, or logistics sectors.
• Strong communicator, capable of engaging a senior executive audience and simplifying complex sustainability concepts into actionable strategies.
• Experience as a speaker, guest faculty, or panelist at leadership forums, academic sessions, or corporate workshops is preferred.
