Job description

The Supply Chain Director, APAC will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing supply chain operations across the APAC region. This role will involve managing supply chain planning, export, transport, procurement, improvement and support activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management within the commodity trading industry, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals.
• Develop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
• Work in a high-impact role that drives operational excellence across the APAC region.
• Optimize resource allocation efficiently for both suppliers and customers to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Maximize efficiency to ensure a scalable model for supply chain execution.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and drive sustainability in operations.
• Review existing operations in a major area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Commerce, Finance and QA to ensure seamless operations.
• Set up, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Lead the APAC supply chain team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure operational excellence.
• Be an integral part of the global supply chain team, collaborating with counterparts in other regions to align strategies and best practices.
• Utilize data and analytics to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, logistic service providers, and customers.
• Implement and manage supply chain risk management strategies.

Education and experiences:

• Bachelor or master degree in in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Leadership experience and experience in a commercial environment
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects within a (commercial) organization
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and ERP tools
• Proven track record in driving revenue growth and implementing innovative strategies to support growth.
• Experience in fostering an innovation mindset within commercial teams and driving cross-functional and cross hub collaboration.
