HELP Logistics is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to support management consulting projects for humanitarian organizations. You will leverage your extensive consulting expertise and analytical skills to enhance supply chain strategies while collaborating with global experts. The role requires travel up to 60% of the time across Asia and offers the chance to contribute to impactful projects in logistics.
Your mission
As a Supply Chain Consultant, you will be a key member of the HELP Logistics team and report to the Regional Director of Asia. Your primary focus will be on management consulting projects that support HELP’s partner organizations in shaping their supply chain strategy to fulfill their mission. You will work with small teams of internal and external experts to understand and assess the as-is situation of supply chain processes, functions, and structures, develop and present conclusive recommendations, and accompany the implementation process on a needs basis.
Your extensive consulting expertise, analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset will enhance HELP’s capacity to deliver impactful projects and the organization's thought leadership position in keeping abreast of new trends, opportunities, and challenges.
Based in Singapore, you will collaborate with leading logistics and supply chain management researcher and consultants around the globe, and have the chance to contribute to selected research projects and tap into new methods, contents, and solutions. As part of our team, you will create a bridge between humanitarian, commercial, and academic organizations with innovative supply chain knowledge and solutions.
To continuously strengthen the reputation, footprint, and impact of HELP Logistics, you will support outreach activities by sharing and presenting project results through publications and at public events. You will be expected to travel up to 60% of the time to support projects, primarily in Asia and occasionally in other HELP offices.
Scope of Function / Key responsibilities
Expert consulting – Supply Chain Analytics (> 50%)
Liaise with partners to understand their needs and identify areas for improvement.
Plan and deliver comprehensive technical consulting projects to improve supply chains in humanitarian and development contexts.
Identify and apply adequate techniques to collect data and conduct assessments while coordinating with the project team and organizing workshops with various stakeholders.
Lead or support the development of new approaches and tools for visualizing, analysing, and optimizing supply chain data.
Transfer and share knowledge with partners and the HELP Logistics team.
Capacity strengthening – Talent Development
Conduct trainings and seminars for humanitarian partners.
Perform mentoring or coaching activities to strengthen the capacity of humanitarian partners.
Networking, advocacy and thought leadership
Advocate for the value of supply chain management in workshops, conferences and publications (contribute or participate as a speaker or on panels).
Stay informed on current and upcoming trends and translate these into concrete project ideas and impact statements.
Draft or contribute to publications in operational or academic venues
Job Requirements
Educational Background:
A Masters degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Global Logistics or Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management or Economics from a recognised academic institution.
Professional Experience:
3-5 years of consulting and project management experience in the fields of organisational strategies and/or supply chain operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from conception to implementation, including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and impact evaluation.
Proven track record in process optimization, with hands-on experience in applying analytical and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) to improve supply chain performance.
Experience working in or with humanitarian organizations, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of supply chain management is beneficial.

Analyzing and improving supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.
Technology Integration Familiarity: Experience in implementing technologies such as ERP systems and AI to streamline operations, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making will be beneficial.
Risk Analysis: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions or delays, and developing contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Sustainability Initiatives: Advising on sustainable practices, including reducing carbon footprints, optimizing transportation routes, and promoting eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Supply Chain Data Analytics: Ability to synthesise and analyse information and formulate and present clear recommendations. Experience with data analytical software is essential (e.g. Excel, Tableau, PowerBI).
Project Management: Strong project planning, management and coordination skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines.
Excellent communication skills in English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including technical staff, senior management, and non-specialist partners. Working communication skills of another regional language will be beneficial.
A high degree of adaptability and flexibility, willing to travel up to 60% of the time to various locations, primarily in Asia, but sometimes to HELP’s regional offices and project sites.
