About the Role

The Supply and Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated demand and supply plans, ensuring materials and finished products meet production and customer needs while maintaining regulatory compliance and optimizing inventory.

This role demands a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive professional, able to manage complex supply-demand scenarios, maintain regulatory standards, and deliver high service quality in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Demand Planning: Develop accurate forecast models based on industry trends, customer and market demand, and product life cycle; coordinate with sales, marketing, and manufacturing to align forecasts with business objectives.
  • Supply Planning: Ensure timely procurement of materials and production scheduling to align with forecasting; manage supplier relationships to guarantee on-time delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Inventory Optimization: Monitor and control inventory levels, implement inventory turn goals, safety stock, and reorder points; identify and manage supply constraints to maintain healthy working capital and business continuity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, quality, regulatory, and logistics functions to resolve issues, optimize flows, and maintain service quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure supply chain activities comply with cGMP, FDA, and internal guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends, provide risk assessments, prepare regular performance and compliance reports for senior management, and facilitate S&OP/IBP meetings.
  • Process Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in supply chain processes, digitalization of planning, and the deployment of advanced planning tools.
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Oversee demand and supply planning for new launches, site transfers, and phase-outs to ensure continuity and minimize obsolescence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • APICS/CPIM or equivalent supply chain certification preferred.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical (preferably oral solid dose) or FMCG supply chain planning.
  • Proficiency with ERP and advanced planning systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
