Job summary

RRecruiter seeks a Supplier Quality professional to lead technical evaluations of new suppliers and ongoing assessments of key existing suppliers. You will drive quality improvement initiatives, corrective actions and ensure compliance with company requirements across multiple teams.

You will review material specifications, coordinate with suppliers on defects, returns and replacements, and guide the use of 8D and other quality tools to identify root causes and preventive actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Experience with mechanical components, PCBA or both is preferred.
• Good knowledge of quality and problem‑solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, FMEA and Quality Control Plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Independent, proactive and willing to learn, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with suppliers and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Candidates with experience in the semiconductor, electronics, automation or precision engineering industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluations and assessments for new suppliers and periodic assessments of key existing suppliers.
• Work closely with suppliers to drive quality improvement initiatives, corrective actions and compliance with company requirements.
• Review material specifications and quality issues, determine defects and coordinate with suppliers on returns and replacement.
• Lead suppliers in applying 8D and other quality improvement tools to identify root causes, implement corrective/preventive actions and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve material and quality issues and agree on appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and monitor supplier quality records, performance ratings and evaluation databases to support supply chain management.
• Provide guidance to Incoming Quality Inspectors on inspection methods, processes and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of supplier quality and overall incoming material quality.
