A leading company in precision engineering seeks a Quality Control Engineer to manage supplier quality performance and conduct audits. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience. You will be responsible for supplier quality management and issue resolution, ensuring high standards in production supplies. This role demands strong technical skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to work under pressure.
Job Description:
Manage supplier quality performance.
Manage suppliers to ensure the part supply to the factory meet the quality requirement.
Perform source inspection for the supplier parts to ensure that the part is in good quality.
Support factory production in term of the supplier part quality.
Able to work with in-house internal teams on supplier part development and quality improvement.
Manage supplier First-Article processes and part qualification.
Ensure supplier quality records are updated promptly.
Responsible for ensuring that Supplier Quality Issue is resolved.
Able to work with the suppliers on the CAPA closure within the required timeline.
Conduct supplier audit to ensure conformance to specified requirement.
Support Internal, 3rd Party & Customer System audits.
Report Supplier Quality Performance for management reviews.
Support product/process qualification when necessary.
Able to use of the statistical process control (SPC) techniques to analyze, establish and monitor that the supplier processes are in control.
Generate periodic supplier quality performance data and work with the suppliers for the continual improvement.
Work with the suppliers for Process Control Plan, Inspection Plan and FMEA.
Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Position Requirements
Education Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing / Engineering with specialization in quality assurance / Precision Machining
Experience Level Requirements: Min 3 years of QC / QA/SQE experience in precision engineering manufacturing environment will be preferred
Skills Desired:
Vendor management experience is preferred.
Able to read technical drawings, knowledgeable in MS Excel and work experience in GD&T and CMM and Mini-Tab.
Knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques such as Gage R&R, CPK, DOE will be advantage.
Resourceful in problem solving
A team player with good interpersonal and communication skill
Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
Meticulous with high accuracy in work submitted
Good understanding of quality management system & tools
Self-motivated and deadline oriented.
