A leading company in quality management seeks a dedicated professional for supplier quality management. The successful candidate will conduct supplier audits, ensure compliance with industry standards, and develop strategies for supplier improvement. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, expertise in quality methodologies, and the ability to foster collaboration across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct audits and validate supplier processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.1, and other relevant standards during supplier onboarding and production phases.
Assess supplier processes, capabilities, and risks, supporting initiatives for supplier development and improvement.
Develop and monitor supplier scorecards and improvement plans to enhance supplier performance.
Lead cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining or improving quality standards.
Hold periodic reviews with management and relevant teams to analyze quality trends and identify areas requiring attention.
Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and maintain accurate quality databases.
Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for supplier-related issues.
Verify the effectiveness of corrective solutions and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
Ensure robust supplier processes to minimize defects, improve efficiency, and meet customer expectations.
Promote lean manufacturing practices, including Six Sigma and Poka-Yoke, to optimize supplier processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Customer Account, Supply Chain, and R&D to integrate quality requirements into product design and manufacturing.
Coordinate with other EP plants to ensure quality topics are aligned, striving for the goal of "1 part, 1 process."
Develop and implement inspection plans, test methods, and quality control procedures to ensure supplier process stability.
Conduct quality-related training sessions for employees at all levels to foster a quality-focused culture.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, or a relevant field.
Proficient in quality control methodologies and tools, including 8D report, Ishikawa, PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC, Control Plan.
Over 3 years of experience in supplier management, with proven success in resolving issues effectively.
Qualified ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.1 internal auditor.
Knowledge of machining, stamping, cold forming, and drawing processes is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in risk assessment and mitigation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers.
