Job description

    We are seeking a technically skilled and motivated Supervisor Trainee to join our manufacturing operations team. You should possess a strong foundation in welding, turning, and mechanical fitting, along with the aspiration to advance into a leadership position. This trainee role aims to offer on-the-job learning and leadership development to groom you for a potential supervisory or team lead role in a manufacturing environment.Your responsibilities will include supporting the supervision of daily shop floor activities, particularly in welding, machining (turning), and mechanical fitting sections. You will learn to assign work, monitor operator performance, manage shift schedules and manpower, oversee weld quality, machining accuracy, and assembly fitment based on engineering drawings and tolerances. Additionally, you will participate in quality inspections, assist in implementing corrective actions for process deviations or defects, monitor material flow and availability, coordinate with stores and planning teams for job readiness, maintain production records, daily shift reports, and operator logs under supervisor guidance, ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols, 5S practices, and preventive maintenance schedules, and learn to lead a small team and address day-to-day technical and operational challenges.The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc), lathe/turning machine operations, and mechanical fitting and assembly. Furthermore, you should be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, symbols, and dimensions, possess strong communication skills, leadership potential, and a problem-solving attitude, have a basic understanding of shop floor documentation, quality checks, and production planning, and be willing to work in shifts and on the shop floor in an industrial setting.Qualifications for this role include an ITI/Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Fitter, or Welding Technology, with 1-2 years of relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing/fabrication unit preferred. Fresh graduates with strong technical skills and exposure to workshops/labs are also encouraged to apply.This position is full-time and permanent, suitable for fresher candidates.
