Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Supervisor, Technical Operations, to lead and oversee the safe operation and maintenance of Mount Faber Leisure Group's rides and attractions. The ideal candidate will lead by example, ensuring team performance, safety compliance, and operational excellence, while upholding all relevant standard operating procedures and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise the daily operations and maintenance of the assigned rides / attractions, ensuring full compliance with standing instructions and safety protocols.

  • Carry out and support Duty Superintendent in operational tasks such as fault diagnosis, pre-operation checks, and rectification works.

  • Lead and guide the technical ground team to execute their duties effectively and safely, including start-up procedures at respective stations.

  • Assign daily tasks and ensure all team members are aware of and comply with safety and operational requirements.

  • Conduct troubleshooting, breakdown investigations, and follow up with corrective actions under guidance from the Duty Superintendent.

  • Perform and oversee routine maintenance tasks such as greasing, lubricating, cleaning, overhauls, calibrations, and necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate records including daily operations logs and maintenance activities.

  • Monitor and report any issues that may impact safe operations; escalate concerns to Duty Superintendent as required.

  • Supervise on-job training (OJT) for new staff, ensuring they are properly onboarded and trained to standard.

  • Foster a disciplined and professional work environment, ensuring high standards of behaviour and teamwork.

  • Coordinate communication and task execution between operational stations to maintain seamless workflow.

  • Take ownership of operational processes at assigned stations and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in a technical or engineering-related field.

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in operations or maintenance, preferably in an attractions environment.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to work effectively with diverse team members.

  • Possesses good interpersonal skills and a collaborative work attitude.

  • Exposure to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices is an advantage.

  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a more senior role and will be commensurated accordingly.
