Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years in a manufacturing environment with 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to learn and perform all production area operations including equipment and cleaning applications.
• Ability to learn MOM requirements and implement them.
• Supervisory skills with goal setting and coaching for performance.

Responsibilities

• Control spend within budget and adhere to purchasing guidelines.
• Follow all administrative protocols like reporting, expenses, and hiring paperwork.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor will be required to work in all the areas of production supervising all aspects of the production operation within the facility of their responsibility. This position is a hands-on position within the production area. Production Supervisor is required to spend 90% of his day on the production floor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe, efficient and clean working environment and comply with all MOM requirements. Create a culture of safety awareness. Responsible for insuring implementation and training schedule coordination with operation training supervisor.
• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Responsible for production quantity and quality. Set the daily schedule and production requirements, plan WIP, all customer orders, set priorities, staff planning.
• Responsible for establishing and enforcing a production schedule that embraces lean flow and allows effective and efficient production coverage/performance to provide fast part turn around, low costs of services and control overtime.
• Work with the commercial group to address customer issues and get them resolved in a timely manner.
• Have bi daily meetings with site technicians and discuss production issues - equipment issues, safety related issues, production schedule conflicts, facility issues.
• Work with the Production Manager and Check production output according to specifications.
• Review training records for yearly training requirements of all the production technicians and coordinate training schedules with Operations training supervisor.
• Completion of the monthly manages tracking matrix and performing monthly assessments of the data with suggested corrective actions.
• Assist in the environmental compliance requirements and associated documentations
• Involved in all associated hiring of administrative and production technician personnel.
• Control and track spending per the Operations Cost Controls and Budget Control Performance Objectives and adhere to purchasing guidelines.
• Comply with all company administrative protocols such as receipt reporting requirements, expense accounts procedures, petty cash, proper and complete hiring documentation, first notice of injury, etc.

Educational/Certification Requirement: List both minimum and preferred educational requirements. Also provide minimum and preferred designations (e.g. CPA) or certifications (e.g. AWS)

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

Experience Requirement: Describe both minimum and preferred years of experience, previous responsibilities, or industry background (e.g. Minimum 2 years of marketing experience. Preferably in manufacturing/semiconductor industry)

• 5 years in a manufacturing environment with 3 years of supervisory experience
• Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing, relevant trade school is preferred
• Ability to learn, understand and perform all aspects of each production area. Including the operation of all equipment and cleaning applications.
• Ability to learn and comply with all aspects of MOM requirements
• Supervisory/Management skills with an understanding of goal setting, people management, coaching for performance
• Ability to make sound judgments based on facts
• Ability to communicate well with peers and upper management
• Good written and verbal presentations skills
• Computer skills are critical
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001, and associated Quality Management Systems
• Ability to multitask successfully in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent WIP and time management skills
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing
