Job summary

Bright Power Works Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Building General Foreman to supervise daily on-site construction operations in Singapore. You will direct labour and subcontractors, enforce safety standards, read drawings, and ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory on-site experience, relevant BCSSC/SSSC certifications, and strong leadership and communication skills. A hands-on approach with a focus on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of on-site supervisory experience in building construction or civil projects.
• BCSSC / SSSC certifications required or preferred.
• CoreTrade / Multi-Skilling scheme certification by BCA (preferred).
• First Aid / Work at Height certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction operations and coordinate direct labour and subcontractors across trades.
• Monitor progress against the master schedule and coordinate with Site Engineer and Project Manager.
• Enforce MOM and BCA WSH standards and conduct toolbox talks for safety on site.
• Ensure works align with approved drawings, method statements and specifications; perform pre-inspections before handovers.
• Coordinate material deliveries, inspect incoming materials and manage site storage and equipment deployment.
• Attend daily site coordination meetings and prepare progress and manpower reports.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Building General Foreman to oversee daily on-site construction operations. In this role, you will coordinate direct labour, manage subcontractors, enforce quality standards, and ensure strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations to deliver project milestones safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Manage and direct day-to-day site activities, direct trade workers, and subcontractors across structural, architectural, and related building trades.
• Progress & Schedule Tracking: Monitor daily work progress against the master construction schedule, anticipate site delays, and implement recovery actions in coordination with the Site Engineer and Project Manager.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce MOM and BCA Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards, conduct daily toolbox briefings, monitor hazard controls, and maintain a safe, clean site environment.
• Quality Assurance & Inspection: Ensure all works comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, and specifications; conduct pre-inspections before client/RTO (Resident Technical Officer) handovers.
• Material & Machinery Handling: Coordinate site deliveries, inspect incoming construction materials, manage site storage, and monitor the safe deployment and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Site Coordination & Reporting: Attend daily site coordination meetings, resolve ground-level site clashes or trade conflicts, and prepare daily site progress and manpower reports.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant on-site supervisory experience in building construction or civil engineering projects in Singapore.
• Certifications: Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSSC) / Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant (SSSC) certified.
• CoreTrade / Multi-Skilling scheme certification by BCA (preferred).
• First Aid / Work at Height Supervisor certification is an advantage.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and M&E engineering drawings and site plans.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to direct trade subcontractors and multi-national site workers; effective communication in English (ability to speak basic Mandarin or Tamil/Bengali is an added advantage on site).
• Work Ethic: Practical, hands-on problem solver with high safety consciousness and readiness to work on active construction sites.
