THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.
Duties and Responsibilities
To be responsible for show readiness of the Singapore Air Force Museum, for daily operations and for Museum’s public engagement/signature events, special programmes and outreach in areas of event planning and operations.
To be responsible for the appropriate staff management/scheduling of and training for event operations, and ensure that staffing, merchandise QC/inventory and event logistics are planned efficiently with resource maximisation.
To support ticketing/visitorship tracking and volunteer management, engagement and deployment.
- Enforce and adhere to Museum’s SOPs and best practise & procedures.
- Produce detailed schedules with staffing assignments, logistical requirements, inventory allocation and milestones for upcoming events and outreach
- Support the close working relationship with facility management and other departments by maintaining a master museum calendar
- Facilitate and coordinate administrative procedures, including outreach engagement forms, merchandise QC, inventory tracking and documentation & etc
- Research and keep updated on latest events, programmes and other trending experiences in the market
- Work closely with Audience Development, Partnerships and Exhibits development to provide direct and significant inputs to events/outreach engagement proposals and special exhibition operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operational readiness of FOH, exhibits and closing duties, and respond to emergency operational situations
- Manage vendors related to events/programmes and oversee their performance to ensure quality provisions and service excellence
- Coordinate outreach logistics and oversee contract labour/volunteers for travelling exhibitions including load in and load out, installation and teardown
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
- At least 5 years of experience working in events planning/events management
- Diploma/ITE in Events Management, Business or Equivalent
- Candidates are required to carry out some physical activity while performing duties of operational nature
- An interest and passion for Singapore’s aviation history and technology
- Self-directed learner and problem solver who can perform under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Cultural understanding and empathy for diverse communities
- Availability to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Team player
- Certifications in First Aid/Bizsafe L2 will be an advantage
- Service oriented and enjoy interacting with people
- Shortlisted candidate must be comfortable to work at the Singapore Air Force Museum located at Paya Lebar or travel to other locations as and when necessary for events
