We are looking for a detail-oriented Sub-Editor / Writer to refine content, ensure editorial accuracy, and enhance readability across print and digital platforms. If you have a passion for storytelling, editing, and content strategy, join us in shaping impactful narratives for the community.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and refine content for clarity, coherence, and accuracy.

• Design engaging page layouts for print and adapt content for digital platforms.

• Fact-check stories and ensure consistency in grammar, style, and tone.

• Collaborate with writers, photographers, and stakeholders.

• Optimize content for digital reach using SEO best practices.

• Support content strategies to enhance Jamiyah’s online and print presence.

• Ensure all publications meet deadlines and editorial standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Communications, Arts, or Social Sciences.

• Able to speak and write in both English and Malay as will need to write articles and publications in Malay.

• Experience in editing, writing, or journalism.

• Passion for community issues and global affairs.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of SEO, digital media, and basic multimedia content creation is a plus.
