We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sub-Editor to join the team. As a Sub-Editor, you are responsible for:

  • Writing story headlines, as well as editing headlines and content for social media and online news
  • Designing, preparing and completing layouts for print
  • Ensuring factual accuracy, as well as alignment of style of final copies to the publication’s
  • Working closely with reporters to coordinate and curate content

Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant studies; Relevant experience would be advantageous
  • Effectively bilingual (both written and spoken) in English and Chinese as this role is for a Chinese publication
  • Strong interest and in-depth knowledge of news and current affairs
  • A meticulous team player with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Strong analytical skills with an inquisitive nature
