A leading educational institution in Singapore is seeking a Student Experience and Engagement Officer to enhance the student experience. This role involves managing student activities, career development, alumni relations, and supporting a vibrant campus community through organized events and partnerships.
The Student Experience and Engagement Officer is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to enhance the student experience at Curtin Singapore. This role focuses on managing student activities, events, and career services to foster a vibrant campus community. The officer will work closely with student committees, clubs, and leadership programs, supporting the planning and execution of student activities, orientation, and graduation events. Additionally, the officer will help students define their career goals, enhance employability skills, and connect with industry professionals through various career development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Career Services: Provide career placement guidance and support to students and graduates. Coordinate internship placements and develop career development workshops. Plan and organise industry engagement events, career fairs, and leadership programs to enhance students’ employability and connect them with industry leaders.
Alumni Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni, engaging them in meaningful ways. Keep alumni informed about Curtin Singapore's developments and participate in alumni events and meetings.
Student Activities: Plan, review, and execute student programs in collaboration with the Senior Manager (Student Support & Services). Work with the Student Committee and Student Clubs to ensure activities are safe, professional, and cost-effective. Set performance targets, assess the success of activities, and make necessary adjustments.
Campus Events: Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of key campus events, including student orientation, graduation ceremonies, and symposiums/seminars. Oversee the logistics for new student arrival support, and the peer mentor system.
Other Responsibilities: Build and maintain good relationships with Industry Partners. Maintain accurate databases related to student activities and events. Produce in-house campus newsletters for staff and students. Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager (Student Support & Services).
Qualifications
Essential:
Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to students and staff.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with student information systems or customer relationship management tools.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently in a dynamic environment.
Desirable
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in student administration or academic support within a higher education institution. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
