Student Development, Assistant Manager [up to $5400, Long Term]

Duration: 3 years contract
Working Hours: Mon - Fri office hours
Salary: up to $5400/month + AWS + PB

The Assistant Manager serves as an educator and facilitator to foster student development and co-curricular learning by actively engaging with student club leaders and members. Additionally, the role functions as an effective intermediary between university management and student governing bodies to enhance overall student engagement.

Key duties:

1. Oversee student organisations and their sub-club
2. Independently evaluating the relevance, inclusiveness, and effectiveness of their activities and events, and providing coaching to student leaders on program implementation.
3. Facilitate effective collaboration among clubs and with other university offices and external partners to achieve desired learning outcomes.
4. Assess potential risks associated with activities
5. Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including funding and facilities.
6. Guide students to organise and lead in safe and meaningful overseas programmes.
7. Conduct feedback, collate statistics, and analyse reports to evaluate effectiveness of organised events and propose improvements.
8. Support the preparation of management reports for submission to MOE and university senior management, where applicable.
9. Lead Facilitator for flagship student-led events

Requirement:

1. A good degree from a recognised university with at least 5 years of work experience.
2. Relevant experience working with students, particularly in the higher education sector, will be advantageous.
3. Passionate about mentoring students and helping them achieve their career goals.
